Oh My LakeOpen the atlas

An atlas with a point of view

A little closer
to the water.

OhMyLake brings together open lake data, useful contributions, and Artur’s personal experiences. We’re starting in Europe.

The facts, and the feeling.

A database can tell you how big a lake is. A good story can tell you what it feels like to be there. This project makes room for both, with clear labels so you always know which you’re reading.

Four perspectives, kept separate.

Artur’s score is his overall 1–5 opinion, published alongside a first-hand review. It is never generated from source data.

Community overall scores reflect approved visitor ratings, with a visible count. Swimming experience has its own optional score and count. Neither replaces official observations.

Bathing-water observations come from monitoring sites and named seasons. They describe those observations, not whether it is safe to swim today.

A feature is an invitation to look.

Featured lakes are independently selected. Featuring a place doesn’t mean Artur has visited or reviewed it. His reviewed section includes only published first-hand experiences.

Help the atlas grow.

On each lake page you can suggest corrections, add comments, rate an experience, or supply an external reference. Contributions go through email verification and moderation. Personal contact details stay private.
